ONE WEEK until our first home goes on the market! I can't believe it. What was only a dream 8 months ago is actually here. The home we so passionately fixed up and formed to our own liking will now be passed on to someone else. It's bittersweet for me, really. I didn't think it would be this way.
So many firsts happened in this house. First paint project, first mow, first garden planted (I'm getting teary typing this.), first puppy, first fire in a fireplace, first backyard party, first dry car after a heavy snow, first room makeover, first time Thanksgiving hosts, first neighbor relationships, first real Christmas tree, first blog post, and the list goes on.
I'll always remember this home as my first attempt at being suzy homemaker. Full of A+ meals and quite a few failures with pizza as plan B. Realizing how much I dislike cleaning three toilets, but delight in setting the table. (Did I just put toilet and table in the same sentence?) Setting up the back deck for our annual Labor Day party. Using herbs from the herb garden. Arranging fresh cut flowers in a vase. Decorating for Christmas. And preparing the house for overnight company.
I'll forever cherish 11171. All the firsts. All the lessons. All the memories.
